News from Sarah Harpster of Cool Monadnock
Sarah reports that Sullivan will not receive funding in this round of awards to communities for building audits from the NH Municipal  Energy Assistance Program.  She will really lobby for Sullivan in the next round.

Minutes of June 24, 2009

The meeting began at 7:20 p.m. in the town hall.  Present were Jeff Brooks, Karen Haynes,  Ann Sweet, Roger Sweet, and Bob Switzer.

First statewide conference of local energy committees:  June 20
Jeff, Ann, Roger and Bob had attended the conference, which they found impressive for the large numbers of attended, mostly representatives of local energy committees.  Each participant had received a disc with the second part of the handbook for energy committees written on it.

Minutes of May 24, 2009

The meeting began at 7:20 p.m. in the town hall.  Present were Jeff Brooks, Jim Forrest, Karen Haynes, Christa Patterson, Ann Sweet, Roger Sweet, and Bob Switzer.  Sarah Harpster from Cool Monadnock was also present.

Ideas stimulated by the Cool Monadnock meeting, “From Data to Action,” held May 20 in Keene.

Outreach and education
Christa and JJ had participated in this group.

Minutes of April 15, 2009

The meeting began at 7:15 p.m. in the town hall.  Present were Jeff Brooks, Jim Forrest, Karen Haynes, Elise Kuder, Christa Patterson, Ann Sweet, Roger Sweet, and Bob Switzer.  Mark Paquette represented the selectmen.

Mission statement
After discussion of other communities’ statements, the group agreed on the following:
Our mission is to help Sullivan reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to save energy and energy costs, thereby reducing taxes.
