Worker’s Compensation Program (insurance): the town’s current 3-year membership agreement is set to expire. A 5-year membership agreement is now offered with a 7.5% annual discount. The Selectmen signed the agreement.

Budget update as of 10/23/09: Both the Selectmen’s budget and overall summary was provided for the Selectmen’s review.

Resident Present: Dawn Martin came in to talk with the Selectmen about donating money to the United Way. There were 487 families that used the United Way last year alone in the Town of Sullivan. Cheryl told Dawn that she could petition the town at the town meeting. Petition a Warrant Article, she only needs 25 signatures. She left brochures at the town hall.

The Town of Sullivan would like to thank Ed Plaisted for his generous donation of $352.00 the labor and materials needed for the construction of the new front steps at the Library.

R. Smith stated that he has begun looking at trucks to replace the aging 1989 Chevrolet Kodiak but has not yet been able to find a worthy vehicle; he will continue the search. On other matters, R. Smith stated the required wetland permits and culverts have been received. Once the weather is acceptable, the process of replacing the culverts will begin.

Payroll and Bills will be prepared tomorrow morning at 10:00 am due to the power outage today. Fawn will need the Selectmen to go to the Office to sign the manifest.

Tammy Sprague brought in a building permit and the fee. It will be given to Fawn to take care of. Tammy asked Al Henry about a fire permit for Wednesday. Al said to call Wednesday.

Neil "Al" Henry Fire Chief was present. There was a discussion about the three towns getting together to create a POD. The POD will help the three towns in emergencies. They will make a master copy and copy it to give to all three towns.

Purchase order for Cold River Material for the highway Department was approved.

Unofficial Meeting

Representatives from Melanson and Heath will be at the Town Hall Wednesday September 2nd to begin the audit process for the 2008 fiscal year.

Members from the Monadnock School Board will be present September 21st at the Selectmen's meeting.

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.

Selectmen Present: Cheryl Labadie, Mark Paquette, and Bob Thayer.

Discussion about the new pole on Cross Rd. Randy said that they do have to have permission from the town. Randy will look into this.

Randy Smith (Hwy Dept) needs a purchase order for Hot Top.
