Friends of the Library
March is Friends Helping Friends month. Bring non-perishable food items or paper goods to the library to help our neighbors in need.
The next meeting of the Friends of the Library will be April 29, 2010.
The Friends of the Library:
- meet at 7:15 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the library
- do not have any fees or dues to pay for membership
- organize 3 events per year: a book sale around Memorial Day, a craft fair and book sale in November and Santa Day in December. The proceeds from these events are used to support the library, i.e. purchasing supplies, software, and other items not covered by the library's budget.
- provide refreshments for the summer reading program and other events sponsored by the library.
