Minutes of August 18, 2008

Selectmen present: Rick Hotchkiss, Cheryl Labadie 

City Officials present: Al Henry and Randy Smith 

Citizens present: Peter Davis, Ron and Mary Hull 

The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm 

Town bills were reviewed and accepted. 

Payroll and bills were accepted 

A purchase order for Cheshire Earth was approved in the amount of $1662.50. 

Peter Davis from SWRPC came and made a presentation about the Brownfield’s program and the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy program. Both programs offer opportunities to local communities in the area of Environmental cleanup. 

Ron and Mary Hull are concerned about the traffic on the Gilsum Rd extension (Mark Paquette's hill). Large trucks and speed are a factor. Randy was involved in the discussion and a motion was made by Rick Hotchkiss and second by Cheryl Labadie to post that road with a weight limit and a “no thru trucks” sign. Randy will order the signs. 

Mary Hull talked in a closed session to the selectmen about Tax deeding. 

The meeting minutes from 8/4 and 8/11 were approved. 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
