Minutes of August 25, 2008

Selectmen present: Rick Hotchkiss, Cheryl Labadie and Bob Thayer 

Town Officials present: Al Henry and Randy Smith

Citizens present: Sadie Smith 

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM 

Payroll and Bills approved 

Sadie Smith attended the meeting with her copy of a revised septic system (for Fitzpatrick’s on Center Street) the tank and leach field were moved. The selectmen reviewed and approved the change. 

Roger Sweet recommends the appointment of Michelle Degree to Conservation Committee. The selectmen approved this and a copy will be sent to Michelle and she will have to make an appointment to be sworn in by the town clerk. 

The selectmen reviewed correspondence from Beth Fernald. 

      • Town vs. Paquette: Notice of Hearing and Assented Motion to Continue 

      • Copy of a letter to Atty. Apple regarding the request for a copy of the new teachers’ contract 

Next Monday is September 1, Labor Day. The Selectmen will not meet. 

Randy Smith seeking approval on two purchase orders -This would be Roller rental and asphalt for repairs on Gilsum and South Rd. These were approved. 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15.
