Minutes of August 4, 2008

Selectmen present: Rick Hotchkiss, Cheryl Labadie and Bob Thayer

Citizens present: Roger and Ann Sweet, Ed Plaisted and Grace Brolin 

Town Officials present: Al Henry 

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM 

Payroll and Bills approved 

Purchase order for Pike Industries was approved. 

Grace Brolin of 452 South Rd asked about a driveway permit; Cheryl Labadie will drop one off to her at her home. 

Ann Sweet came in to discuss COOL Monadnock. Fawn will give Ann Sweet all the information she needs to figure out how much this Town pays for fuel and electricity. COOL Monadnock is researching how much each Town spends and is trying to help reduce costs. Roger Sweet added that the Litter Free program offers free daffodils or trees. He asked if the trees could be planted over by Jewett Park, in the event that the trees do not fit at the cemetery. The selectmen do not have a problem with this either way. 

Ed Plaisted brought in his report of cut for the logging on the Gilsum Rd. 

Thomas and Malinda Scherpa septic design was approved (Valley Road-Gottsche subdivision) 

A timber tax warrant was signed for Robert Baird. 

An amended Notice of hearing re: Sullivan vs. MRSD was reviewed a trial management conference is scheduled for Sept. 8 at 10am. 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:25PM.
