City Officials present: Al Henry and Randy Smith
Citizens present: Toni Ellsworth, Ron and Mary Hull
The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm

Ron and Mary Hull brought concerns before the Selectmen regarding the East Sullivan Cemetery. The McClure family called Mary concerning a family plot that they have in that cemetery. They allege that behind the cemetery on the Paul Atwood property that there is rubbish and trailer debris. This can be seen from their plot and are upset because it is an eyesore. Ron and Mary visited the site and agreed that there is visible rubbish. Ron asked for a reply from the Selectmen so he could answer the McClure’s complaint. Rick Hotchkiss will investigate the allegation but feels that there has been positive progress made to the Atwood property, it will take time to clean the entire piece of land.
Toni Ellsworth was inquiring as to whether or not the Selectmen have received the new teacher’s contract. She also wanted to know about the lawsuit that Sullivan has against the MRSD and if further action would be pursued. Rick Hotchkiss replied and said that the Town is contemplating the pros and cons associated with the pursuance of the lawsuit. It has not yet been decided if we (Town of Sullivan) will move forward in this direction.
Al Henry presented a purchase order for approval. This is for the replacement of the muffler for the rescue truck and brake lines and heater core for Tanker. This PO was approved. Scott Lake has done extensive research on an internet upgrade for the Fire station. He has found a company that will do installation for $900.00 and it will cost $80.00 a month thereafter. This price can be spread between all depts... Beth Fernald has rewritten The Memorandum of Understanding between Stoddard and Sullivan. In the event of a State declared emergency Sullivan will use Carlisle lumber as its emergency headquarters. A document was signed in order to release Carlisle any liability in the event that their building should be used.
Randy Smith presented a purchase order for a rebuilt transmission for the Town dump truck. This is in the amount of $2250.00. This was approved; Randy will do the work himself. He has decided to purchase road salt from two different companies; this will help him avoid a shortage like last winter.
NHDES wetland permit was signed by Randy Smith and the Selectmen; this is for replacement of the culvert at Gilsum/Boynton Rds.
A draft of the teacher contract was given to each Selectman to read at their leisure.
